The Story of StarDome

1.

StarDome has always been more than a hotel. The business started as a means to benefit people who are in search of something: spiritual connection, answers to questions, or even just a stable job.

2.

The late co-founder, Bob Berman, met current owner, Carlos Gibaja, while in search of answers to his wife’s passing. Carlos introduced Bob to the sacred space on Mt. Antanuca, giving him space to use his pain to connect to the Apus. Bob allowed himself to open up to what the spirits had to say and as a result he accessed much-needed healing.

3.

Bob sat at the top of Mt. Antanuca looking for answers to his wife’s passing. Carlos had brought him there to speak with the Apus, instructing nothing of Bob other than to be open to what they have to say. Carlos returned within the hour and found Bob in a puddle of tears, saying he had connected with not only the Apus but his wife as well. He had found great comfort in the answers he found, not ones that made everything make sense but ones that told him everything was going to be okay.

4.

It’s with this exact power and spirituality upon which StarDome was inspired. Bob and Carlos intended that each willing person have access to the same healing. And it’s in honor of Bob’s spirit and in aim of this mission that we continue to provide a space for it.

Our Best Experience

OUR RESTAURANT

StarDome is lucky that our very own head chef, Angela, has spent most of her life learning the proper way to prepare fresh Peruvian food. A class with her is a piece of culture that you can carry with you long after you leave the country
